パピルスの草原に鳥、ヒエログリフ、ピラミッド、ホルス神、そして縦のラインをエジプトのナイル川に見立て、天と地の交わりを表した。 ナイル川の豊かな恵みを虹色の彩色で表し、ピラミッドにはエジプトのナショナルカラーを取り入れた。すべて絞りの技法で制作されている。 This Kimono expresses the intersection of the Heaven and the Earth by printing papyrus meadow with birds, the Nile with hieroglyphs, Horus, and pyramids. The rainbow-colored line represents rich grace of the Nile, and the pyramids are colored with Egyptian national colors. Shibori(tie) dyeing technique is used.
シルクロードを経て日本に伝わってきた爪掻き本つづれによって、ホルス神を織り上げ、威風堂々とした格調ある作品です。爪で掻き寄せるように織り上げることから、「爪掻き本つづれ」といわれる技法は、古来より高価な織物の代名詞で、このような袋帯を織り上げることは皆無である。 The obi is a majestic and dignified work with Horus woven by Tsumekakitsuzure (tapestry weave) technique that was brought to Japan via the Silk Road.
