東京オリンピックエンブレムにも使用されている市松文様をイメージさせる生地を大島紬で織り上げ、贅沢にも、その上に京都の職人がガーナの文化を染め上げました。国旗を連想させる虹や、特産のカカオの花や実、金鷲、ニジェール川のワニも描き、日本の琳派画にガーナを取り入れた画期的な作品になりました。 Based on the Oshima-tsumugi cloth with Japanese traditional checkered pattern which is used in the Tokyo Olympics emblem, Ghana's cultural scenes are dyed on the top. A rainbow reminding of the national flag, flowers and fruits of cacao as local specialties, golden eagles and a crocodile are making an epochal work incorporating Ghana in Japanese Rinpa style paintings.
ガーナ国旗の色をベースに、五角形を組み合わせた文様を手織りで織り上げました。 The Obi is hand-woven with a pattern combining pentagons of the color of the Ghana flag.
