首都フリータウンにそびえる巨木コットンツリーをメインとし、フリータウンの街と海、モスクと教会、ヤシの木や古い建物、国章のライオンと平和のダイヤモンドの原石を描き込みました。コットンツリーからある時期綿毛が飛んで空を舞う様子も描き、この国の発展と明るい未来をイメージしています。 Drawing the cotton tree which rises in the capital Freetown as a main icon, the towns and seas, mosques and churches, palm trees, old buildings, Lion from the coat of arms and the rough stone of "Peace Diamond" are depicted. The fluffs from the cotton tree flying into the sky, are reflecting the image of the development and bright future of this country.
国旗と国章からモチーフを取り入れてデザインの根幹とし、黒地に金糸銀糸を用いた豪華絢爛な手織りによって織り上げられています。 The design of obi incorporates the motif from the national flag and the national emblem as its base. It is hand woven with luxurious gold and silver thread on black background.
