ナイル川の源流であるヴィクトリア湖から流れ出ずるマーチソンフォールズ、絶滅危惧種のゴリラを始めさまざまな動物を描くことで、ウガンダの豊かな自然を表現しています。動物はチテンジの柄のように生き生きと描きました。 The rich nature of Uganda is expressed by drawing various animals including a gorilla as endangered species and Murchison Falls which flows out of the Lake Victoria, the source of the Nile. The animals are drawn vividly like patterns of the chitenge.
唐草文様を中心に、向き合うマウンテンゴリラの横顔に見立て襷文様とし、また国鳥であるホオジロカンムリヅルを忍ばせ、帯全体としてトロンプ・ルイユ(だまし絵)的な遊び心でウガンダの美しい森を織り上げました。 The obi lays the arabesques in the back, places profiles of the mountain gorillas facing each other and also is hiding the national bird, the grey crowned cranes. The beautiful forest of Uganda is woven into the whole obi with a playful sense of tromp-l'œil.
